Group brings Christmas meals to those without

ELYRIA TWP. – Orders are still being accepted for this year’s free “Sharing Christmas” dinners, and orders will be taken on Christmas Day as well, according to Donna McKinney, the event’s chairwoman.

The dinner will be served on Christmas Day at St. Vincent De Paul Church, but orders can also be made for delivery for those without transportation. The church is located at 41295 North Ridge Road.

The annual meal serves turkey and dressing, ham, mashed potatoes, gravy, vegetables, rolls and butter, beverages and desserts from noon to 2:30 p.m.

The day also includes a visit from Santa complete with presents for children.

Anyone wishing to have a meal delivered is asked to call the “Sharing Christmas” hotline at (440) 324-5212, ext. 137.

Calls may also be left at (440) 323-7089, and home-delivered meals may also be ordered on Christmas Day by calling (440) 324-4606.

Anyone who would like to volunteer their time for the program may call (440) 323-7089.

“Sharing Christmas” is a multi-denominational, non-profit organization that exists only to provide the annual Christmas dinners.
