Reported stolen car found crashed in Lorain

LORAIN — A car reported stolen Monday in Lorain was found crashed on a roadside Friday and three men were seen running from the accident.

About 8:15 a.m., a Ford 500 veered off the road on Henderson Drive near the Henderson Bridge. The car rolled, and three young men were seen running from the car by a witness, according to Lorain police.

When police responded, they found that the car had been reported stolen Monday by Sara Page, 36, of the 2300 block of G Street in Lorain.

Page told police that she woke up about 9:45 a.m. Monday to find her purse, credit cards, an Xbox and her flat-screen television were missing from her house. She told police that she had left her front door unlocked when she went to sleep early that morning.

A few hours after the report, Page told police that her 2006 Ford 500 also was missing.

Page’s purse was found in the George Daniel Field parking lot at 2601 Oberlin Ave., almost an hour after Page made the report. She told police no items were missing from her purse.

Police are still looking for the suspects.
