Donald E. Campbell, 84, of Eaton Township, passed away Monday, December 30, 2013, in EMH Healthcare, after a long illness. He was born February 17, 1929, in Derry, Pennsylvania and lived the last 60 years in Lorain County.
A 1947 graduate of Derry Borough High School, Mr. Campbell retired from Ford Motor Company in Brookpark after 30 years of service, where he was a quality control inspector. He then worked for Jim’s Trailer Sales in Eaton Township for 10 years. He attended North Eaton Baptist Church and was a member of Local #1250. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and managed the Eaton Hot Stove League at one time.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Grace (nee Hamilton); his daughter, Amy (Jim) Stants of Parker, Pennsylvania; his son, David (Jeanne) Campbell of Wheeling, West Virginia; grandchildren, April Ballachino, Heather Bonnett, Brett Campbell, Travis Campbell, Kayla Vincent, Garrett Vincent; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his son, Wayne Campbell in 2004; parents, Marseilles and Mildred Campbell; four sisters; and two brothers.
Friends may call Friday, January 3, 2014, from 4 until 7 P.M., in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, where funeral services will be held Saturday, January 4, 2014, at 11 A.M. Reverend Stephen Carter, Pastor of the North Eaton Baptist Church, will officiate. Burial will be in Butternut Ridge Cemetery, Eaton Township.
