Mrs. Marti Brazil, 62, of Elyria, died Sunday, December 29, 2013 at Crittenton Hospital in Rochester, Michigan, following complications from heart disease. Marti was born March 17, 1951 in Chicago, Illinois.
A graduate of Sullivan High School, Marti later distinguished herself as a competitive ballroom dancer and dance instructor for Arthur Murray Dance Studios. Turning her talents to different fields, she later directed her efforts building her own business in house painting. Eventually, life swept her to Daimler-Chrysler, where she worked until her illnesses began.
She was preceded in death by her mother, Zona Bius; and sister, Earleta Coss.
She is survived by her father, Earl; siblings, Scott Tomlin, Tom Tomlin, Bill Tomlin, Scott Brazil, Darin Brazil, Terese Corey; children, Jon and Roberta Jean; grandchildren, Jon Kraushaar, Jr., Kiya Kraushaar, Candice Coker, Dallion Coker, Bailey, Riley; nephews, Chris McGrew, Ray Tomlin, Sean Tomlin, James Tomlin, Kyle Tomlin, Jimmy Shaw, Billy Coss, Michael Brazil, Darin Brazil, Jr., Devin Brazil, Parker Brazil, T.J. Priest, Mark Corey; nieces, Tamara Tomlin, Rebecca Tomlin, Arianna Tomlin, Alea, Donna Shaw, Chelsea Brazil, Michelle Rodden, Davonna Brazil, Denia Brazil, Christina Corey.
A Memorial service and gathering for Marti will be Sunday, January 5, 2014, held at Knights of Columbus, 1800 Kipling St., Elyria, from 2 to 8 P.M.
