Jacqueline Virginia Bankston, 22 years of age, and a resident of Wellington, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Saturday, January 4, 2014, at New Life Hospice Center in Lorain, after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was born November 4, 1991 in Chesapeake, Virginia, where she was raised until the age of 13. Her family moved to Wellington in 2005, where she has resided until her passing. Jackie was a graduate of Wellington High School with the class of 2010. She attended Akron University, studying Information Technology. Jackie loved being outdoors, hunting and fishing with her dad. She loved playing sports, soccer, basketball and softball. Alongside her family, she turned the backyard softball field on which she and her sister practiced and played, into the family garden, where she enjoyed growing produce with her parents.
Jackie leaves to cherish her memory her parents, William Douglas “Doug” and Sandra Marie Bankston (nee Lesjak); her sister and her husband, Heather and Kurt Shaver of Nova; nephews, Adam and Kyle Shaver; and her long time boyfriend, Tyler Wilson of Green.
Friends may call Tuesday, January 7, 2014, from 2 to 4 and 6 to 9 P.M., and Wednesday, January 8, 2014, from 2 to 5 P.M., at Camden Baptist Church, 1709 State Route 511, Wellington. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 A.M., at Camden Baptist Church. The Reverend Larry Nocella and Reverend Bill Kopas will co-officiate. Burial will follow at Greenwood Cemetery, Wellington.
