LORAIN — Police said a suspect wanted for violating a protection order jumped out of a third-floor apartment window to evade officers Sunday.
The suspect, Nathan Bublik, 35, was arrested after receiving extensive injuries from landing near bushes outside of the apartment building at 4240 Princess Anne Court.
Bublik’s ex-girlfriend told police that Bublik unexpectedly walked into her apartment earlier and was bleeding from the forehead. She called 911 about 8:37 p.m. Sunday after running away from Bublik, who is under a protection order.
Police said the woman was hiding in a laundry room at the apartment complex. She led police to her apartment, which was leaking from the ceiling, and she said she believed Bublik was purposely flooding her apartment from his friend’s apartment upstairs, according to a police report.
An officer spoke with the resident in that apartment, who told police that Bublik was inside but attempting to jump out the window to escape.
After jumping from the window, Bublik was taken to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland for his injuries. He was issued a summons for violating a projection order and obstructing official business.
