Dorothea “Dotty” Castell, 79 years old, of Elyria, died suddenly at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, Monday, January 6, 2014. She was born April 18, 1934 in Uniontown, Pennsylvania, to the late John and Marie (nee Lindvay) Molchan. She met and married the love of her life, Dean Castell and was married for 38 years.
She loved to laugh and joke, give advice, travel and have dinner parties for her friends and family. She was a member of St. Jude Church and the Altar and Rosary Society and belonged to Helping Hands. She retired from Fazio’s and from Pandy’s Garden Center.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her sister, Bernadine (Ralph) Poling of Elyria; a brother, Bob Molchan of Lacrosse, Florida; lifelong friends, Linda Stahl, Kay Pandy, and Tom and Mary Naris; and many loving nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dean; two sisters, Delores Clouse and Patty Davis; and five brothers, William, John, Frank, Steve, and George Molchan.
A Memorial Mass, to celebrate her life, will be Saturday, January 25, 2014, 11 A.M., at St Jude Church, with the Reverend Father Frank P. Kosem officiating. Inurnment will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens.
