CLEVELAND — Browns safety T.J. Ward has been added to the Pro Bowl roster, giving Cleveland six players at this year’s game.

Ward was selected as an alternate and will replace Steelers safety Troy Polamalu, who is unable to participate because of an injury.

Ward had a solid fourth pro season and is eligible for free agency in March. He started all 16 games and finished with a career-high 129 tackles. He recorded 15 tackles for loss and had two interceptions, returning one for a touchdown in a win over Buffalo. He also returned a fumble for a TD against Chicago.

Ward has said he would like to re-sign with the Browns, who are still searching for a coach after firing Rob Chudzinski.

Ward joins tight end Jordan Cameron, wide receiver Josh Gordon, cornerback Joe Haden, center Alex Mack and tackle Joe Thomas in Honolulu for Sunday’s game.

  • stop ur whining

I read Jimmy’s letter to the fans and realized that all the appealing things the browns have, a young roster, 6 pro bowlers, draft picks, cap room, that (with the exception of one first round pick) was the last regime. Banner is a moron that only thinks he knows football. What has he done? His draft looks like a bust, he cans a guy after a year, and he has gone into full blown rebuild mode, without a head coach! I heard yesterday that we want Manziel. Anyone else find it interesting that we are without a head coach but are deciding on who we draft?

No quality coach is coming here bc it is the Banner show. The only time you receive credit under banner is when you lose with what he surrounds you with. You think any decent coach is going to sign up for that?

Browns will never be above .500 with Banner. Hope i am wrong, but this guy isnt hard to figure out. All ego. Do yourselves a favor if you doubt me. Look at what his role was with the eagles. He was a cap guy, Reid picked the players.
