Raynold J. Perry, 81, of Sheffield Village, formerly of Avon, passed away unexpectedly, Saturday, January 18, 2014, at the University Hospitals Avon Emergency Care Center. Raynold was born August 7, 1932 in Avon and had lived in Sheffield Village the past 48 years.
He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving from 1954 to 1956. He worked for Oberlin Farms Dairymens, Cleveland, in the plant maintenance department. He was an active member of the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses in Avon Lake. He enjoyed gardening and tending to his yard. He also enjoyed baseball with his sons and was involved with his daughter in horsemanship.
Raynold is survived by sons, Jeff (Barb deceased) of Sheffield Village, Doug (Lucy) of Avon and Michelle Bare (Keith) of Grafton. He is also survived by six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 51 years, Joan Z. (nee Brown); and parents, Omer and Pauline (nee Mohr).
A Memorial Service will be held at the Kingdom Hall of the Jehovah’s Witnesses, 388 Avon Belden Rd., Avon Lake, Saturday, January 25, 2014, at 2 P.M.
