Virginia received her degree as a registered nurse from Massachusetts Memorial Hospital in Boston and was employed for thirty years as an RN at Elyria Memorial Hospital, retiring in 1989. Virginia was a member of St. Mary Church in Elyria. She was a lover of animals and enjoyed traveling, especially cruises.
Virginia is survived by a daughter, Susan M. (Christopher) Groh of Elyria; son, Michael R. (Sandra) Fleming of Palmetto, Florida; six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Lee Richard Fleming in 1983; son, Ronald Lee Fleming in 2008; two sisters and six brothers.
Friends will be received Saturday, January 25, 2014 from 10 A.M. until the time of an 11 A.M. service at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Avenue, Elyria. Reverend Charles T. Diedrick will officiate. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Elyria.
