Firefighters were called to a house fire at 8:28 p.m. Thursday at 110 Mendel Court, which crews were able to contain to a second-story bedroom. Firefighters cleared the scene at 11:35 p.m.
Investigators learned that the structure had been unoccupied but was undergoing remodeling by the owner of the property. They said that there were indications that the house had been broken into.
Investigators said that evidence they found indicates that someone started the fire, which remains under investigation.
