Mary O. Bonnett, 95, of Elyria, entered into eternal rest at her daughter, Karen’s home, Tuesday, January 28, 2013. Mary was born May 21, 1918 in Avon Lake, to the late Harry and Lucy (nee Linden) Miller. She attended the Avon Lake school system. Mary lived in Oberlin before moving to Elyria, where she spent most of her adult life with her family.
She was a treasured wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, friend, and homemaker. She worked 10 years at St. Mary’s School in Elyria as a secretary.
She was member of St. Jude Catholic Church in Elyria, where she was a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She loved watching old movies, listening to music, card games, and was active in several card clubs. Her friendships were numerous.
She leaves to cherish her memory her sons, Kenneth (Mary/Tony) Bonnett, Karl Bonnett; and her daughter, Karen Bonnett Nichols; grandchildren, Kevin (LaDonna) Bonnett, Michael Bonnett, and Jennifer (Ron) Naelitz; great-grandchildren, Jeffrey, Brook, Bryanna, Baylee, Brevin, and Braden Bonnett.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Julius K. Bonnett; sister, Gladys Roser; brother, Norman Miller; and sister, Mildred Marlett; and grandson, Bryan Bonnett.
There will be no visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Jude Catholic Church, 590 Poplar Street, Elyria, Saturday, February 8, 2014, at 11 A.M. Burial services will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Elyria.
