Ricky “Rick” Rader

RaderRickRicky “Rick” Rader, 51, of Grafton, passed away Saturday, February 1, 2014 in his home, following a battle with cancer. He was born July 10, 1962 in Berea and had been a lifetime resident of Grafton.

Rick was a 1980 graduate of Midview High School and was employed by Westview Concrete for 27 years. He enjoyed going to the races, camping and painting cars.

He is survived by his son, Jeremy Rader of Lorain; sister, Sherry (James) Miller of Ghent, Kentucky; three nephews; and one niece. Survivors also include many aunts, uncles, great-nieces and great-nephews, lots of cousins and Tommy. He was preceded in death by his parents, Edwin and Grace Rader; and by sisters, Deborah Rader and Darlene Rader. Friends may call Thursday, February 6, 2014, in the Blackburn-Duke Funeral Home, 1021 Main St., Grafton, from 5 P.M., until the time of service at 8 P.M. Reverend John Seabold, Pastor of Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, will officiate. Burial will be at a later date in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Grafton.

The family suggests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to either the American Cancer Society or to the Hospice of the Western Reserve.
