Vermilion: Boil alert for mobile home park

UPDATE: The boil alert was lifted at 11:20 a.m. Wednesday.

The city of Vermilion has issued a boil alert for residents of Harbortown Mobile Home Community. The boil alert affects only residents in the park, according to the city alert.

Those residents are asked to boil their water for at least three minutes before consumption.

Vermilion Mayor Eileen Bulan said the boil alert was issued after there was a water main break in the area today. According to the mayor’s office, the break has been fixed.

WHY WHY are not the citizens of Vermilion going to council and asking why the boil alert continues? Isn’t there anyone who wants to know why two to four times a month a boil alert is in Vermilion. And by the time of the boil alert residents are drinking feces and chemicals. SOMETHING MUST BE DONE!
