Carl R. Chadwick, 77, died Tuesday, February 4, 2014 at St. John’s Medical Center, following a brief illness. He was born April 12, 1936 in Glen Rogers, West Virginia and had been a resident of Detroit, Michigan, before moving to North Ridgeville in 1987.
Carl worked for GM at the in Hamtramck, Cadillac Plant for 34 years, where he was a union steward and was a member of the Sunlight Masonic Lodge #600 in Allen Park, Michigan, where he was a Worshipful Master. Carl enjoyed golfing, hunting, and fishing.
Survivors include his sisters, Edith (Harold) Lovell of LaGrange and Julie Ann (Mark) Samples of Lewisberg, West Virginia; brothers, James F. Chadwick of Belle, West Virginia, Eddie L. (Marge) Chadwick of Fairfield Glade, Tennessee and Ricky (Vicki) Chadwick of Longs, South Carolina; step mother, Betty J. Hughes of Longs, South Carolina.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Edd L. and Eva Lucille (nee Rister) Chadwick; brothers, Charles E. Chadwick and Robert E. Lee Chadwick; and sister, Vickie Lynn Chadwick.
Friends may call Thursday, February 6, 2014 from 4 to 7 P.M. in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., North Ridgeville, where The Elyria Masonic Lodge #787 F&AM will conduct Masonic Services at 6:30 P.M. Funeral service will be held Friday, February 7, 2014 at 11 A.M. in the funeral home, with Rev. Charles Keesee officiating.
