Frances J. Owens (nee Belfiore), 82, of Elyria, passed away Saturday, February 8, 2014, at St. John Medical Center in Westlake, following a long illness. She was born November 12, 1931 in Wellington, and was a graduate of Wellington High School.
Mrs. Owens had been a resident of Elyria for many years. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Owens was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Elyria. Her faith and her family were very important to her.
She is survived by her husband of over 60 years, Roy; two daughters, Kathryn Conner of Elyria and Nadine Alloway (Larry) of Lorain; two sons, Roy Owens, Jr. and Daniel Ownes, both of Elyria; 11 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Jane Kotai and Nellie Ternes, both of Elyria; two brothers, William Belfiore of Santa Rosa, California and Joseph Belfiore of Elyria; and by many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Marie (nee Capparoma) Belfiore; two sisters, Caroline Wynieski and Josie Rufo; and two brothers, Samuel and Charles Belfiore.
There will be no services. A private burial will take place Thursday, February 13, 2014, 11 A.M., at Resthaven Memory Gardens in Avon.
