Barbara A. Miller (nee Teniak), 82, of LaGrange, formerly of Eaton Township, passed away Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at Keystone Pointe in LaGrange. She was born March 22, 1931 in Cleveland and she was a Lorain County resident for many years. She was a graduate of Westlake High School. Mrs. Miller was retired from Thomas & Betts in Strongsville, where she worked as a machinist. She was a member of the Lorain County Republican Women’s Club for over 25 years. She was very social and enjoyed her life to the fullest. She enjoyed traveling, writing cards and letters and spending time with her family. Mrs. Miller was also a fan of the Lake Erie Crushers and the Cleveland Indians.
She is survived by one daughter, Sherry Whitman (Ted) of Elyria; two sons, Glen Miller (Maria) of Lady Lake, Florida and Douglas Miller (the Late Laury) of Lorain; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Martha Herb of Louisville, Kentucky, Eleanor Weiland of Avon and Bernice May of Greenville, South Carolina.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Brian L. Miller in 2005; by her parents, Rudolph and Elizabeth Alice (nee Sholtis) Teniak; by four sisters, Donna Teniak, Betty Wrestler, Jean McIntyre and Bea Teniak; and by one brother, Bobby Teniak.
The family will receive friends Saturday, February 15, 2014, from 9 A.M., until the time of the funeral service at 11 A.M., at the Liston Funeral Home, 36403 Center Ridge Rd., (at Stoney Ridge Rd.), North Ridgeville. Reverend Chuck Behrens will officiate the service. Burial will be at Brookdale Cemetery in Elyria.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Keystone Pointe Activity Fund.
