Harry Hill

OBIT FLAGHarry Hill, 70, of Elyria, went home to be with the Lord Monday, February 10, 2014, after a short illness. He was born in Belvedere, Tennessee, coming to Elyria in 1956.HillHarry

He was a graduate of Elyria High School, Class of 1961 and a veteran of the U.S. Army service in the Vietnam conflict. Mr. Hill was employed as a supervisor at U.S. Steel Lorain and also worked for York International. He was a member of Elyria Baptist Church for over 25 years, where he served as the transportation HillHarry1church bus driver. He enjoyed working in the church and spending time with his family and friends and was also an avid sports fan,

Mr. Hill is survived by his sons, Timothy J. Hill of Oklahoma., Larry Hill, Jr. of Texas; daughters, Yolanda Lee of Avon, Bluffie Hill of Elyria; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; five sisters; and six brothers; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives.

He was preceded in death by parents, William, Sr. and Ida Bell Traft; three sisters; and two brothers.

Friends may call Saturday, February 15, 2014, at 11 A.M., until time of service at 12 Noon, in the Elyria Baptist Church, 276 Washington Ave., Elyria, Pastor Doris Williams will officiate the service. Burial will be in Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
