Minister William J. “Bill” Robinson, 69, of North Ridgeville, went home to be with the Lord Tuesday, February 11, 2014, following a long illness. Minister Robinson was born in Demopolis, Alabama, coming to Elyria over 40 years ago from Panama Florida.
Minster Robinson was employed as a general laborer for General Motors of Elyria and also Bendix Corporation and City of Elyria Sanitation Department.
Minster Robinson was a member of Praise and Worship Church, 111 Oberlin Rd., Elyria. He also volunteered his time with the voter’s registration.
He is survived by son, William Robinson, Jr. of Sheffield Township; sister, Diane Robinson of Panama Florida; brother, Willie J. (Jean) Robinson of Homestead Florida; cousins, Glen and Debra McFee of Elyria; special friends, Henry Johnson of Lorain and Walter Moody of Elyria; and a host a other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Elizabeth Robinson.
Friends may call Saturday, February 15, 2014, from 2 P.M., until the time of service at 3 P.M., in the Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 632 West River N., Elyria. Reverend Calvin Curry will officiate services.
