Paul L. Livelsberger, 96, formerly of Elyria, passed away peacefully in the care of hospice Saturday, February 8, 2014 in Columbus. He was born April 18, 1917 in Canton. Elyria has been his home for most his life.
Paul was a 1937 graduate of Elyria High School. He was a self employed cabinet maker for many years, retiring in 1995. Paul loved his family, especially his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Dweese; his children, David (Nancy) Livelsberger of Grafton, and John (Linda) Livelsberger of Orlando, Florida; step son, Craig Bauer (Alison Derrick) of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma; step daughter, Betty (Jim) Grierson of Pataskala, Ohio; four grandchildren, Stacey Livelsberger of Elyria, Sumer (Nathan) Murton of Orient, Ohio, Asia and Joel Livelsberger, both of Orlando, Florida; two great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews also survive.
He was preceded in death by his brothers, Eldon and Clifford Livelsberger; sister, Eleanor Peters; son, Paul Livelsberger, Jr.; and his first wife, Betty.
Private funeral services for the family will be held at a later date.
The family requests memorial contributions in Paul’s name be made to any local animal shelter.
