Randall Wayne Woodyard

WoodyardRandallRandall Wayne Woodyard, 58, of Amherst, passed away suddenly Friday, February 14, 2014, at Mercy Medical Center of Lorain. He was born March 29, 1955, in Weston, West Virginia.

Randy was a 1974 graduate of Elyria High School. He was employed by Ford for 34 years until his retirement. Randall had many interests, including a member of Lorain County Kennel Club, a coach of Little League West, dog groomer, showed dogs, guitar and piano player and a sports lover of Browns, Indians, and Cavs. Randy was also a lifetime member of Lowell Street Baptist Church.

Survivors include former wives, Janet Sue and Vicki; sons, Jason (MaryLynn) of Amherst, Justin (Amber) of New Holstein, Wisconsin, Jonathan of Mt. Vernon; sisters, Virginia McDonald of Lorain, Linda (Edwin) Gore of New London, Betty (Tom) Spaulding of Elyria; brother, Jim (Donna) of Lorain; grandchildren, Jonathan, Aiden, Ian, Gavin, Jason, Kensington, Caleb, Skylyn, and Brooklyn; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Orma (nee Carpenter), Edna Woodyard; and brothers, Don, Sr., Paul Bosley and Larry Bosley.

Family will receive friends 4 until 8 P.M., Wednesday, February 19, 2014, at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria and Thursday, February 20, 2014, from 11 A.M., until time of Service at 12 Noon, at the Lowell Street Baptist Church, 642 Lowell St., Elyria (Please meet at Church on Thursday ). Pastors Ed Gore and Tom Spaulding will co-officiate. Burial will be private.

Family suggests, in lieu of flowers, to make donations to the Lorain County Kennel Club, 49979 St. Rt. 511, Oberlin, OH 44074.
