Lorain blotter: Customer accused of threatening clerk with knife

6:01 p.m. Feb. 16 — Dollar General 425 W. Fourth St., John Freeman, 46, homeless, arrested and charged with aggravated menacing, carrying a concealed weapon and drug possession. Freeman is accused of threatening a clerk and displaying a knife. Police said they found four Xanax pills on Freeman when he was arrested.

Tuesday, Feb. 11

  • 5:01 p.m. — 2800 block Surf Ave., A woman said someone was making fraudulent charges on her credit card.

Friday, Feb. 14

  • 10:16 p.m. — West 25th Street, Aaron Gage, 20, 1200 block W. 18th St., Lorain, arrested and charged with resisting arrest. Police said Gage struggled when officers tried to handcuff him while he was being arrested on a contempt of court warrant.
  • 11:34 p.m. — Washington Avenue and West Fifth Street, Kellie McCallie, 25, 800 block Rosewood Drive, Lorain, cited for obstructing official business, Cameron Taylor, 25, same address, arrested and charged with obstructing official business, Emmanuel Taylor, 30, 500 block Washington Ave., Lorain, arrested and charged with obstructing official business and resisting arrest. The Taylors are accused of engaging in a custody dispute with McCallie. Emmanuel Taylor is accused of running from police and initially refusing to be handcuffed.

Saturday, Feb. 15

  • 6:42 a.m. — 200 block Indiana Ave., Emily Brungardt, 28, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. Brungardt’s boyfriend said she became jealous when he spoke with an old girlfriend at a concert in Cleveland. The boyfriend, who police said a swollen left eye and a swollen lip, said Brungardt punched him in the left eye as they drove home and then punched him in the mouth in their home.
  • 12:52 p.m. — 1700 block Oakdale Ave., a property owner said someone burglarized his vacant rental property, stealing $1,200 worth of copper piping. The owner said there was no forced entry and he suspects the thief had a key.
  • 10:43 p.m. — 300 block W. 21st St., a woman told police her husband yelled at her and head-butted her.

Sunday, Feb. 16

  • 1:26 a.m. — 4200 block Pearl Ave., Daniel Morgan, 33, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence, Morgan’s girlfriend said he got drunk, spit in her face and punched her. Morgan denied the accusations.
