Thomas George “Tom” Loughren, 65, of Wellington and formerly of Cleveland and Grafton, died Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at Mercy New Life Hospice after a long illness. He was born on July 13, 1948 in Cleveland to the late George and Dawn (nee O’Donnell) Loughren.
Tom was an industrial electrician and worked for Union Carbide for 28 years. He was a member of St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Wellington and an active member of AA. Tom enjoyed horses and was an avid bowler.
He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Angie (nee Franko); children, Laurie (Don) Mayne of Brook Park, Tina (Ken) Parfitt of Grafton, Holly Thomas of Wakeman, and Rob (Brandi) Loughren of Elyria; 11 grandchildren, one great-grandchild and another on the way. He is also survived by siblings, Pat (Hank) Picione, Ray (Karen) Loughren, and Mary Dawn (Bob) Bohnert.
Tom was preceded in death by his son Tom Jr., and an infant brother Tom.
Friends and family will be received on Thursday, February 20, 2014 from 6 to 8 P.M. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church, 512 North Main, Wellington, 44090, and again on Friday from 10 A.M. until the time of a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 11 A.M., Father James Reymann officiating. Burial will follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Valley City.
