ELYRIA — An ongoing investigation by the Elyria Police Narcotics Unit resulted in the arrest of a local resident.
The Narcotics Unit and Neighborhood Impact Unit executed a search warrant Friday evening at 734 Case Ave., police said. The search warrant resulted in the arrest of Jerry L. Wells Jr., 33, 700 block of West River Road North, Elyria.
Wells was arrested was arrested for trafficking heroin, possession of heroin, trafficking a schedule I drug, possession of a schedule I drug , weapons under disability, cultivation of marijuana, receiving stolen property (firearm), defacing ID marks, drug paraphernalia and illegal use of food assistance.
Police said they confiscated aelaborate marijuana growing system, marijuana, heroin, a significant amount of Ecstasy and a stolen firearm.
Wells was taken to the Lorain County Sheriff’s Office with no bond until his court date today.
