One person was critically injured in a two-vehicle crash on Route 20 Tuesday morning.

A Ford F-150 pickup truck was traveling on Route 20 when it was struck on the passenger side by a TRX Midwest Incorporated semi truck, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol troopers at the scene.

The young female driver of the F-150 was transported to University Hospitals-EMH, where she was flown by medical helicopter to MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Her identity has not been released.

The driver of the semi-truck suffered minor injuries. He also was transported to University Hospitals-EMH.

Carlisle Township Fire Department was nearby assisting with another accident, and crews saw the crash happen. They were able to respond to the scene in less than a minute, Fire Chief Kevin Dembiec said.

Traffic is backed up on Route 20 westbound from Route 301 to Grafton Road. A jack-knifed semi near Grafton Road is adding to the traffic tie-up.
