Grafton, LaGrange crime: Drug paraphernalia found at rental property

Saturday, Feb. 22

  • 10:20 a.m. — 1000 block Willow St., a man found a spoon and syringe at the top of the basement stairs inside the floor cavity and a woman found a glass pipe inside a kitchen cabinet on the top shelf. The landlord of the property did not know who the items belonged to because “any time he was there a large number of people (were) around and there (was) no way to determine who the paraphernalia belonged to.” The landlord wanted the items disposed of the proper way.

Sunday, Feb. 23

  • 3:16 p.m. — 1000 block Woodland Chase, a man received text messages from his ex-girlfriend who wanted items returned to her, and she informed her ex-boyfriend that if he did not let her get the items, she would bring the police. The items in question included a breast pump and television. He looked for the breast pump but could not locate it. He told officers his ex-girlfriend bought the television for him as a gift. Officers told the woman that if she wanted to pursue the case, she would have to seek other legal action.

  • 10:35 p.m. — Garret Smith, 25, and Timothy Hill, 21, both of Elyria, charged with possession of marijuana.
  • 10:43 p.m. — 300 block Church St., burglary complaint.

Saturday, Feb. 22

  • 10:15 a.m. — 100 block Loperwood, phone harassment complaint.
