Keith M. Butler, 72, of Sheffield Village, passed away Monday, February 24, 2014 at St. John Medical Center in Westlake, after a brief illness. Keith was born December 14, 1941 in Oakland, Maryland and has lived in Sheffield Village for the past 36 years, moving from Lakewood.
He was United States Air Force Veteran and was a member of the VFW Keith worked at L.T.V. Steel in Cleveland, retiring in 1991.
He was an avid sports fan, a collector of hats and greatly enjoyed camping and traveling with his late wife Montana. He was very interested in world news and was always up for a spirited debate about politics.
He is survived by his step son, Joseph Carr of Lorain; step daughter, Patty Dillon of North Ridgeville; 12 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; niece, Kitten Butler; nephews, Sam and Jimmy Butler.
Keith was preceded in death by his wife of 36 years, Montana; parents, Edmund and Kerma (nee Shaffer) Butler; step sons, Danny, Terry and Marvin Carr; brothers, Edmund and Douglas Butler.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Road, North Ridgeville, Saturday, March 1, 2014 from 12 Noon to 2 P.M., immediately followed by interment with full military honors conducted by VFW 9871, North Ridgeville, at Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
