Mabel D. Harbert

Mabel D. Harbert (nee Handel), 91, passed away peacefully at the home of her daughter, Cheryl in Brooklyn, Ohio, after a long illness. She was born March 26, 1922, in McKeesport, Pennsylvania and lived in Lorain county from 1945 until she retired to Homosassa, Florida in 1986.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John in 1968; her sister, Ruth McIntosh; brothers, Fred and Raymond Handel; her parents, Clara and Paul Handel.

Survivors include her brother, Paul R. Handel of Campbell, California; son, John R. Harbert (Carla) of Grafton; daughter, Cheryl A. Stewart (Jeffrey); five grandchildren and five great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Monday, March 3, 2014 from 5 to 6 P.M., with Memorial Service to follow at 6 P.M. at Jardine Funeral Home, 15822 Pearl Rd., Strongsville.
