Dolores C. Jackson (nee Bush), 82, of Elyria, passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2014, at her home, following a lengthy battle with pulmonary fibrosis. She was born December 11, 1931, in Mansfield, and was an Elyria resident for most of her life.
Dolores enjoyed playing card games, collecting pig figurines and was an avid Cleveland Browns football fan.
Survivors include her daughters, Gay (Robert) Smith of Elyria and Susie McCracken (Bryan Demurat) of Orlando, Florida; and was a beloved grandmother and great-grandmother. “She will be missed”
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Lowell McCracken in 1975; second husband, Ken Jackson in 1998; and a sister, Nancy Whitmore.
The family will receive friends Sunday, March 2, 2014, 1 until 4 P.M., at the Laubenthal-Mercado Funeral Home and Cremation Service of Elyria, 38475 Chestnut Ridge Rd. (at State Rt. 57), Elyria. Graveside Services will be Monday, March 3, 2014, 11:30 A.M., at Mansfield Memorial Park, 2507 Park Avenue W. Rd., Mansfield. The Reverend Robert Smith, Dolores’ son-in-law, will officiate.
