Julius A. Komlosy, 96, of Elyria passed away Monday, February 24, 2014, at Life Care of Elyria. He was born March 2, 1917 in Lorain and was a life-long resident of Lorain County. He was a veteran and served in the Merchant Marines during World War II. He worked as an electrician for many years and retired from Murray Electric in Cleveland. Mr. Komlosy was a member of St. Jude Church in Elyria, American Legion Post #12 in Elyria and of IBEW Local #129. He enjoyed golf, fishing, sailing and spending time with his family.
Mr. Komlosy is survived by his wife of 71 years, Barbara (nee Coley); two daughters, Kendra Macko (Tom) of Westchester, Pennsylvania and Kyle Ralston (Don) of North Ridgeville; five grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Eugene Komlosi (Delores) of Pittsfield, Massachusetts.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mary (nee Peters) Komlosi; one sister, Louise Miller; and two brothers, Gilbert and William.
Private family graveside services were held Wednesday, February 26, 2014, at Ridge Hill Memorial Park in Amherst Township. Reverend Frank Kosem, Pastor of St. Jude Church in Elyria, officiated.
