Elyria blotter: Woman charged with biting roommate during argument

1 a.m. March 1 — 600 block Sanford Ave., Jolynn Bakos, 48, same address, arrested and charged with domestic violence. A man living with Bakos said an intoxicated Bakos bit him several times during an argument. Bakos said the man attacked her, but police said Bakos had no visible injuries, although the man had several.

Thursday, Feb. 27

  • 8:11 a.m. — Third Street and West Avenue, a woman said she was parked on Garden Street in her Nissan Altima when a woman in a blue Jeep sideswiped her car. She said the woman got out of the Jeep and pounded on the driver’s side window of her car. When she wouldn’t roll down the window, the woman said the other woman got back in the Jeep and backed into another parked car before driving away.

Friday, Feb. 28

  • 7:15 a.m. — Chestnut Ridge and Dewhurst roads, Gregory Drury, 27, of Cleveland, arrested and charged with theft and possessing drug abuse instruments. Police said Drury admitted to stealing his friend’s money while he was staying at his house. Upon his arrest, Drury was found with a heroin needle in his pocket, police said.
  • 10:38 p.m. — Clark and Winckles streets, William Gaines II, 30, 200 block Winckles St., Elyria, arrested and charged with aggravated menacing. Five teenaged boys said Gaines pulled out a pistol and chased them in a vehicle when they ran. Gaines denied pointing a pistol at the boys, but admitted confronting them after he said he thought they were about to break into his work van.
