North Olmsted police officer remains in critical condition

LIVERPOOL TWP. — An off-duty North Olmsted police officer involved in a Saturday car crash was in critical condition Sunday at MetroHealth Medical Center in Cleveland.

Officer Jack Justice, 43, of Valley City, was southbound on Station Road when struck by a northbound pickup driven by Dalton Phillips of Columbia Station, according to a Saturday news release from the Ohio Highway Patrol’s Medina post.

The release said Phillips, 23, lost control while negotiating a curve before striking Justice.

Phillips, who police said may have been drunk, was seriously injured.

Sgt. Jason Bittinger said Sunday that he didn’t have an updated condition on Phillips, but the accident remains under investigation.

  • stop ur whining part deux

of course after he kills a cop the police say he “could have been drunk”. Nice way to taint public opinion before all the evidence is gathered.

In some cases, yes. Not this one.

Sounds like a really horrific crash. Hope they both recover.
