LORAIN — Police said they caught a suspected drug trafficker Saturday afternoon allegedly trying to conceal drugs between his buttocks while inside a patrol car.

About 2:15 p.m., police charged Miguel Collazo, 25, of Lorain with possession of schedule II drugs, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and conveyance of narcotics into a detention facility.

Collazo was charged near Larkmoor Street and Missouri Avenue after police saw him make a turn onto Larkmoor without using a signal.

Police approached Collazo’s car and, smelling marijuana, searched the vehicle, according to the report. On the ground outside, police found a bottle and a bag, both of which had powder inside that tested positive for opiates. According to the report, police said they believe Collazo threw the bottle and bag out of the car before being pulled over.

Soon after police put Collazo in the back of a patrol car, they saw him with his pants and underwear pulled down and his hand near his buttocks, according to the report.

Collazo was brought to the jail where he told police that he had no more drugs on him. However, after a strip search, police found 1.4 grams of powder that tested positive for opiates in his wallet.

Collazo was released from Lorain City Jail on bond early Monday and is scheduled for 1 p.m. Monday in Lorain Municipal Court.

After a strip search, they found drugs in his wallet? Where does he keep his wallet?

You know those low hanging pants “kids” wear these days. Never know where that wallet may end up. Slid right up into the crack.

Just glad I did not have to strip search him.

Just waiting to hear from those who always say he was profiled, based on race, and that the police always use the “he did not use his blinker” excuse to pull these people over.

I have been pulled over for not using a turn signal, they simply reminded me to do so and let me on my way. Of course, my car did not smell of marijuana.

Hmmmm….may have had something to do with it.

Hint to dumb criminals, don’t smoke pot in the car when you are transporting narcotics. Always a dead give-away.

The officers had his wallet the whole time. .When they checked it when he got stop there was nothing in it..but all of a sudden when they make it to the Lorain police department they want to pull something out..can you say corrupted cops?? Very much soo..

Sure. Happens all the time. Not to mention this guy is a very nice individual, great son, brother, husband, dad and is just misunderstood.
You just have to look past his current charge for possession of cocaine…..set up again I’m sure.

They pulled his pants down too? Maybe they are into sexual assault as well as planting evidence. You should really look into this… lmao

Isn’t that the way it always is?

They cuff your hands behind you, throw you into the back of some urine stench cop car and THEN your butt hole decides to start itching!

    **been there… done that**

One of those hard to reach itches …
