Julian B. Wilson, Jr., of Cleveland, passed away peacefully at the V.A. Hospital in Cleveland, Sunday, March 2, 2014. He closed his eyes and fell asleep. He was born January 11, 1947 in St. Louis, Missouri. He attended schools in Cleveland and St. Louis, and was his grandmother’s (Mama) constant traveling companion.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy and served honorably in the Viet Nam War, until he became disabled and received an honorable discharge with medals.
Julian was a fun loving person and made friends easily and wherever he went. He mostly loved touring and his association with the musical entertainment crowd. He often set up engagements for the O’Jays and Four Tops and would be the Master of Ceremony when needed.
He earned an undergraduate certificate from the Moody Bible Institute for completing the Old and New Testament studies. In 2013, he was baptized and became a member of the Bethany Baptist Church of Elyria.
Julian Wilson is survived by one sister, Valerie Timmons (James); special relatives, Karen Wise (niece); Nicholas Smith (cousin); and Helen Reed (aunt).
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Stephen (Minnie Lee) Jarmon; parents, Julian (Rosalee) Jarmon; and sister, Harriet Reoze.
Services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 11 A.M. (family and friends) and the funeral will be at 12 Noon, at the Bethany Baptist Church, 334 17th St., Elyria, with the Reverend Dr. J. Howard Timmons, Sr. officiating.
