Two people were taken to the hospital following an Eaton Township car crash Wednesday morning.

At 8:23 a.m., Jonathan Archer, 36, of Wooster was driving a 1992 Freightliner tractor-trailer westbound on state Route 82. At the intersection with Durkee Road, he drove through a red light and struck a 2013 Chevrolet Equinox, troopers said.

The driver of that vehicle, Robert Hawkins of North Ridgeville, and his passenger, Austin Hartman, were taken to University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center with injuries deemed non-critical.

Archer was not injured in the crash, Ohio Patrol Sgt. Tim Hoffman said.

Someone is getting a large payday in the future.

  • Scout

A second of inattention almost cost 2 people their lives and will probably cost the semi driver his job.

  • John Davidson

Looks like it was in Eaton Township not Grafton Township.

So thats what you get from this story, “Looks like it was in Eaton Township not Grafton Township”. Does it really matter

      • John Davidson

Well, yesterday the article stated that the accident was in Grafton Township. Then they corrected it after my post.
