Johanna M. Arnold

Johanna M. Arnold, 67, of Elyria, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, in University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, following a lengthy illness. Johanna was born October 18, 1945, in Richmond, Indiana. She moved to Elyria, where she met and married Donald Arnold in 1982.

While in Richmond, she worked as a nursing assistant, and at Alcoa Industries. In Elyria, she was employed at Easter Seals and Spherion Temp Services.

She enjoyed bingo, slots, reading, fishing, and playing hearts on her computer. She was known as being one you could talk to and receive good advice.

Johanna will be sadly missed by her husband of 32 years, Donald Arnold, Sr., of Elyria; son, George Jeter, Jr. of Lorain; daughters, Theresa Brown of Richmond, Indiana, Roanna Walton of Lorain, Gina Brown, Annalee (Steve) Kilgore, Elouise Jeter, all of Elyria; stepchildren, Alicia Wright of Pensacola, Florida, Beverly Banks, and David Arnold of Atlanta, Georgia, Donald Arnold, Jr. of Lorain, Matthew (Janet) Arnold of Milwaukee, Wisconsin; 17 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great- grandchildren; sisters, Melissa Miller of Anderson Indiana, Odillia (Charles) Moore, Rosalie (John) Eaton, and Agnes Brown, all of Richmond, Indiana; brother, Walter Robinson, Jr. of Oberlin; and several honorary daughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other loving relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father, John Stewart, and mother, Annalee (nee Robinson) Brown; stepfather, Roosevelt Brown; daughter, Yolaunda Stewart; stepdaughter, Beverly Jeter Lighty; great-granddaughter, Kaneshia Brown; brothers, Timothy Brown, Roosevelt Brown, and Clevester Brown

Visitation will be held Thursday, March 13, 2014, from 7 until 9 P.M., at Brown-Robinson Funeral Home, 2652 Broadway, Lorain. Funeral Services will be held Friday, March 14, 2014, 11 A.M., at Cathedral Of Praise, 4545 Elyria Ave., Lorain, with District Elder Melvin Brown, Pastor, officiating . Interment will be at Brookdale Cemetery, Elyria.
