He grew up in Sheffield Lake and graduated from Brookside High School in 1975. William started his career with Ford Motor Company at the Lorain Assembly plant. In 1997, he was transferred to Louisville, Kentucky, where he retired after 30 years of service. In that time, he and his wife, Wendy, raised three sons and spent the years after retirement enjoying time with their grandchildren. William enjoyed the adventures that came while riding his Harley, sharing stories with friends and always looked forward to coming home to their dogs, Hooch and Neche. He was a husband, father, brother, uncle and son.
He is survived by his wife of 28 years, Wendy J. Zaroslinski; his parents, Edgar and Mercy Carder; sons, Mathew and his partner, Nick: Jason and his wife, Tracy, with their children, Tyler, Jessica, Jamie and Jasmine: Gregory and his wife, Jamie, with their children, Sydney and Blake; sisters, Mayetta Haynes and Jennifer Carder; brother, Allen Carder; as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, William J. Zaroslinski; and his brother, Carl “David” Smith.
