James Thomas Menner, 51, passed away Friday, March 7, 2014, at home, following a long illness. Jim was born August 9, 1962 in Elyria. The Elyria area has been his home for all of his life.
Jim was a member of St. Jude Church and was a 1981 graduate of Elyria Catholic High School. He also attended the Johnson Wales Culinary School. He was employed as chef at Kim’s Restaurant in North Ridgeville.
He is survived by his former wife, Linda Menner; and his daughter, Danielle Menner, both of Lakewood; his mother, Marge Menner of Elyria; sisters, Beth Cooner of Madison, Ohio, Patricia Ross of Elyria, and Karen Menner of Elyria; brothers, Joseph William Menner of Grafton, and Andrew John (Laurie) Menner of Amherst.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Kenneth; and his father, Joseph.
A memorial Mass was held Friday, March 21, 2014, at St. Jude Catholic Church. The Reverend Father Frank Kosem, Pastor, officiated the service.
