William Hobert Corley, 78, of Elyria, went to be with the Lord, and his wife, Dortha, Thursday, March 20, 2014. He was born March 21, 1935 in Cleveland, West Virginia and attended Buckhannon Upshur High School.
William and his wife moved to Elyria in 1953. He was employed at Pfaudler Company in Elyria as an inspector, until retiring in 1985. He then continued to work security at Wesleyan Village in Elyria. He was a devoted member of The Avon Church of God.
William is survived by his sons, Stephan Randall, Kevin Neal and Brian Hobert Corley; daughters, Connie Lynn Lanning and Tamara Louise Corley; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 59 and a half years, Dortha Jean Corley in October of 2012; his parents; two brothers and three sisters.
One of his children’s fondest memories, is of him singing to the love of his life. He will forever be the greatest Dad and Grandpa ever.
Friends will be received Monday, March 24, 2014 from 5 to 7 P.M. at Dicken Funeral Home, 323 Middle Ave., Elyria. The Funeral Service will be Tuesday, March 25, 2014 at 11 A.M., in the funeral home, with Reverend Joseph Kelly officiating. Burial will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
