During World War II, she was employed as a civilian office manager at Wright Patterson Air Force Base and had been a neighborhood chairman of the Girl Scouts. Marnell enjoyed all sports and was a fan of University of Dayton basketball and the Cincinnati Reds. She was also able to enjoy her lifelong dream trip to Ireland.
Marnell is survived by a son, Robert W. (Helen) Dupont; and a daughter, Judith Ann Curtis, both of Elyria; and grandchildren, Michelle, Jon and Brett (Jenny) Dupont.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Ratchford.
A service will be Friday, March 28, 2014, at 1 P.M., in the mausoleum chapel of Woodland Cemetery in Dayton.
