Emma J. Deloris Daniels (nee White), 71, of Lorain, passed away Monday, March 24, 2014, at Mercy Hospital, unexpectedly. Mrs. Daniels was born June 28, 1942 in Maybeury, West Virginia, and lived in Lorain since 1963.
She was a member of Mount Zion Missionary Baptist Church of Lorain, where she served as the treasurer of the Nurses Guild, and was a deaconess. She was secretary of the Lorain County Nurses and Usher Union.
She was licensed practical nurse at Lorain Community Health Partners, until she retired in 1986 and began private duty homecare. She enjoyed reading, sewing, and traveling.
She will be sadly missed by her husband of 46 years, Deacon Harris Daniels, Jr.; children, Bernard (Michelle) Bailey of Virginia, Mark (Mandy) Bailey of England, Stacy Daniels of Lorain, and Harris (Rudy) Daniels of Texas; 10 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; one brother, William Thomas White of Virginia; one sister, Beverly Solomon of Michigan; many nieces and nephews; and a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Emma was preceded in death by her parents, James and Clara Enolar White; two brothers, John Henry White, and Clarence White; sisters, Elizabeth Jackson, Dora Bell Jackson, Gloria Angeline William-Paige, and Arvadella Robinson.
Visitation will be held Monday, March 31, 2014, from 10 A.M., until time of service at 12 P.M., at Mt. Zion Baptist Church, 1516 East 30th Street, Lorain, with Reverend Donald Young, Pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery in Lorain.
