David Raymond Cox

CoxDavidRaymondFollowing a three month battle with pancreatic cancer, David Raymond Cox, 64, of LaGrange, died peacefully at home Tuesday, April 1, 2014, with his family at his side.

David was born in Lorain, December 14, 1949, and was a 1967 graduate of Lorain High School. He then received his BSBA in Labor and Industrial Relations from Bowling Green University in 1970. David spent nearly 25 years as a Systems and Network Administrator for the Cleveland Clinic, before retiring in 2006.

He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Deborah (Beaman); and children, Tracey of Lorain, and Christopher (Carrie) of Avon. David was blessed to be a grandfather to Amanda (Joseph Jones), and Nicole, Nico, Mariana and Annabella; as well as stepgrandfather to Elise, Dustin and Tyler. He had two great-grandchildren, Joseph Jones, Jr., and Emily Cox.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Jean (Greenwood) Cox.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 4, 2014, at First Baptist Church of LaGrange, 200 Church St. LaGrange.
