Richard E. “Dick” Fair

OBIT FLAGFair_RichardRichard E. “Dick” Fair, 87, of Elyria, went home to be with his Lord on Sunday, April 6, 2014 following a lengthy illness. He had been a resident of Elyria since 1952 moving from Savannah, Ohio. He was born May 13, 1926 in Ashland.

Dick graduated from Savannah High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army for one year in the South Pacific Theatre. He was employed as a Tow Motor Operator at Moen aka Standadyne in Elyria for 37 years. He attended Elyria Community Church of Nazarene and was a member of American Legion Post #12 of Elyria.

Mr. Fair is survived by his wife, Joanne L. (nee Westcott); sons, Gary E. Fair of Ft. Myers, Florida, Raymond F. Fair (Barbara) of Gray Court, South Carolina, Mark P. Fair (Jackie) of Cape Coral, Florida; and daughter, Lynda L. Hall (Garnest) of Elyria; 10 grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his brothers, Lester, Herb and Robert Fair; sister, Helen Fair; parents, Floyd and Nellie (nee McClain) Fair.

At the request of the family, services will be private.
