Mosieanna “Big Mose” Killings, 58, of Elyria, passed away in the University Hospital in Cleveland, following a long illness she was born in the Mobile, Alabama coming to Elyria 50 years ago.
Ms. Killings was employed as a cook for the York International Corporation for Lorain County Community College until her health begins to fail. She was also a member of True Vine Primitive Baptist Church and a former Church Usher. She enjoyed cooking, traveling and spending time with family and friends.
She will be deeply missed by her lifelong companion, Donald R. Battiste of Elyria; her only daughter, LaRhonda D Killings; husband, Michael of Elyria; sons, Donald Tate of Texas, Lagustus A. Killings, Jenett of Columbus, Antwine D. Battiste of Elyria; also granddaughters, whom were her caregivers, Michaela D. Blue, Michara D. Blue, and Antwinae D. Battiste. She is survived by her sisters, Andrea Jordan of Elyria, Luccie Simmons (William) of Lorain, Mildred Daniels (James) and Alisha Barbee (Don); brothers, Ellis Fenderson (Audie) of Elyria, David Killings Jr., and Jake Killings (Garnetta) of Lorain; 11 grandchildren; and one great grandchild; host of other relatives.
Proceeded in death by parents mother, Dussie Killings and father, David Killing Sr.; sister, Anna Williams; brother, Sam Killings; and grandmother, Dinah Fenderson.
Friends may call Monday April 14, 2014 from 10 A.M. until time of service 12 Noon at the True Vine Primitive Baptist Church, 737 W. 18th Street, Elyria. Elder James Furcron, pastor will officiate, burial in Brookdale Cemetery.
