About 6 a.m. Tuesday, police arrived at a parking lot in the area of 1200 Foster Ave., near West Park where the Elyria Fire Department had just extinguished a car fire. The car, a 2013 Ford, was identified as being owned by Tracie Walker.
An hour later, police met Walker at her home on the 500 block of Georgetown Avenue. Walker told police that she had parked her car outside of her house about 9 p.m. Sunday and when she came back outside Monday morning, it was gone.
Walker said her car was locked and police couldn’t see any signs of forced entry, according to the police report.
