William F. McKay, 67, of North Ridgeville, passed away at University Hospitals Elyria Medical Center, Sunday, April 13, 2014, after a sudden illness. William was born October 8, 1946, in Mentor. He lived in North Ridgeville for the past 38 years.
He was a Sergeant in the United States Marine Corps and a proud veteran of the Vietnam War. He was the owner of C.S.Q.P. Printing in North Olmsted and ran the print shop with his family. He was a dear friend to many customers, brokers and vendors. William was a member of the Local Allied Printers Union and attended the Abbe Road Baptist Church in Elyria.
William was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing, including annual fishing trips with his treasured friends far into Canada’s backwoods. A loving and devoted husband, father and grandfather, his keen and witty sense of humor will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Valerie (nee Marvin); sons, Billy (Terri) and Andrew McKay, both of North Ridgeville; daughter, Rachel (Jesse) Ball of North Ridgeville; and grandson, Andrew McKay, Jr. of North Ridgeville.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Yolonda (nee Raymond) McKay; stepfather, Norman Hasek; and brother, John McKay.
Family will receive friends Thursday, April 17, 2014, 5 until 8 P.M., in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, Funeral Services will be held Friday, April 18, 2014, 11:30 A.M., at the Abbe Road Baptist Church, 670 N. Abbe Rd, Elyria, (Everyone please meet at church). Interment will be private.
