Lorain woman charged with stabbing boyfriend

LORAIN — A city woman accused of stabbing her boyfriend in the left leg about 11:30 p.m. Saturday faces charges.

Nichole Venson was arrested and charged early Sunday with felonious assault and domestic violence. Venson argued with her boyfriend, William Schaffer, when he showed up at their home in the 3500 block of Pin Oak Drive with an ex-girlfriend, according to police Officer James Wolford’s report.

Schaffer said the two women fought and when he attempted to break it up, Venson stabbed him in the thigh. Venson denied stabbing Schaffer, but a neighbor who said Schaffer came to her apartment after being stabbed said Venson came to her door carrying a knife and screaming, “I’m going to kill a n—–.”

Venson is free on a $5,000 bond. Information on her next court date was unavailable Monday night.
