Man allegedly attacked girlfriend’s wheelchair-bound father

LORAIN – A series of violent incidents culminated in an assault on Monday when a Lorain man attacked his girlfriend’s wheelchair-bound father, according to police

Luke Lang, 29, of Lorain, was charged with felony domestic violence at his home on the 4300 block of Kingsbury Court after he attacked his girlfriend’s paralyzed father, according to a police report.

Around 9:45 p.m. Monday, Aaron Call told police he had just been speaking on the phone to his father, Bruce Call, 58, who is partially paralyzed after a stroke. In the middle of their conversation, Bruce Call suddenly started screaming for help, just before the phone went dead, Aaron Call told police.

Police arrived at Bruce’s house on the 4300 block of Kingsbury Court to find the 58-year-old visibly shaken and scared to talk to officers, according to the report. Call finally told police that he lives with his daughter, Sara Call, her three children and her boyfriend, Lang.

Bruce Call told police he was talking to his son on the phone and mentioned that he was scared of Lang, whom he said was been getting more violent and controlling in recent months, according to the report. When Lang overheard the conversation, he pulled the phone out of Bruce Call’s hand and started threatening to kill him before punching him in the back, Bruce Call told police.

Sara Call, who was in the house at the time, corroborated her father’s story and added that she’s scared of Lang because he “controls every aspect of both her own and her father’s lives,” according to the report.

Sara Call told police the incident Monday was the latest incident of violence.

Both Sara and Bruce Call separately told police that Lang once picked up Bruce Call in his wheelchair and threw him at a wall.

Sara Call told police she has called them in the past when Lang has gotten violent but she usually hangs up, too scared to report Lang’s outbursts.

Police said Lang has a history with the police. In March 2013, Lang was charged with domestic violence against Sara Call. In both January and March of 2014, Bruce Call called police for assistance and officers could hear a woman screaming in the background, according to the report.

Police called Lang and met him at the house on Kingsbury Court. They took him into custody and brought him to Lorain City Jail where he was being held on Tuesday.

There’s no rehabbing an animal like this.

He needs to accidentally fall down a whole mess of stairs a bunch of times.

    • Godfather

      He needs counseling.

You need to be nice or keep your face shut.

      Thanks!

      • unclewicked

        Nice?!

        I’m nothing BUT nice!

Given the chance to counsel this misguided young man, I’d be smiling, have a song in my heart and have kind words on my lips as he tumbles down the stairwell a whole bunch o’ times.

Nothing but a coward. Hitting women and paralyzed people in wheel chairs. Scum who do these type of things are just one step above the child molesters.

  • John Davidson

Another example of the lowest scum there are.

  • WTFnext

She took him back after a previous incident and she will take him back again. These stupid women never learn. If a man hits you once, he will do it again. She needs to be charged with child endangerment and also with endangering her paralyzed father. She is just as much to blame because she keeps letting him stay.

The cycle is hard to break free from, domestice violence has an odd psychological effect on its’ victims. So many emotions are involved including shame and of course fear of repercussions. It would seem like a no brainer but, believe me, even the mighty have fallen in these situations.

I Pray this Lady Doesn’t let this man back into her home. She also has children who will be abused next if they haven’t been abused already. If she takes this man back she needs her Head examined. He needs taught a “Jail House” lesson on not hitting the elderly and disabled.

    • luvmytoaster

She will let him back in – the cycle continues….

      • Godfather

        hopefuly.

    • Godfather

Why so she can collect welfare?

She chose him and she needs to stay with him till the little hood rats are all grown up.

      Thanks!

  • Godfather

There are two sides to every story.

    • luvmytoaster

So are you saying that he is a good person – that he did not throw her wheelchair-bound father against a wall…..are you saying that she (Sara) is lying about her boyfriends behavior?

      • golfingirl

The proper protocol on this forum is to totally ignore Godfather, in the hopes he will eventually disappear.

        Please follow the rules….laughing.

        • luvmytoaster

Please forgive me :) you are correct – I became disoriented…why did I think that he had any common sense?

        • Godfather

I am simply saying there are 2 sides to every story.

If he did throw him, was he provoked?

Was he ran over by the wheelchair?

what caused him to react that way?

and most importantly, if he was wrong, he needs to be rehabilitated.

Lorain county is good at that.

          Thanks!

          • Bob

You want him rehabilitated. You have him come find me whenever he gets anger. I may be 46 year’s old. But I will use all the skills I learned in the military to take this animal down. By the time I am done with him he will be able to be rehabilitated while he is stuck in a wheelchair, eating through a feeding tube.

Yes the one above and yours…………………both need a proof reader……….
