Martha M. Linden (nee Taylor), 95, of North Ridgeville, passed away at Ames Family Hospice on Tuesday, April 22, 2014 after a long illness. She was born November 2, 1918 in North Ridgeville and has spent most of her life there.
Martha was a Parishioner St. Peter Catholic Church before becoming a founding member of St. Julie Catholic Church in 1978. She was also a member of the St. Julie Prime Timers and had worked in the cafeteria at Lear North Elementary School from 1974 through 1984. Martha loved to bake and sew and was also an avid sports fan, especially of the Cleveland Indians and Cavaliers.
She is survived by her daughters, Kathleen DeChant of Avon, Margaret (Dennis) Reynolds of North Ridgeville, Marian (Charles) Gilles of Huntington Twp., Joan (Lawrence) Krystowski of Avon and Deborah Linden of North Ridgeville; sons, Cletus Linden of Eaton Twp., Norman (Kathleen) Linden of North Ridgeville, Ralph Linden of Olmsted Falls, Daniel (Annette) Linden of Carlisle Twp. and Donald Linden of North Ridgeville; 18 grandchildren; 21 great grandchildren; sisters, Eleanor Hess of Grafton, Ruth Frey of Yorba Linda, California and Helen Silac of North Ridgeville.
Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Cletus in 1973; parents, Robert and Catherine (nee Biermacher) Taylor; brothers, Edward, Robert, Lawrence and Ralph Taylor; sisters, Leonarda Rofe, Dorothy Moore and Catherine Hamker; and grandson, Norman Linden.
Family will receive friends in the Bogner Family Funeral Home, 36625 Center Ridge Rd., N. Ridgeville, Friday, April 25, 2014 from 5 to 8 P.M. and Saturday, April 26, 2014, where an 11 A.M. prayer service will be held before an 11:30 A.M. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Julie Catholic Church. Rev. George Vrabel and Rev. Richard Gonser will concelebrate. Interment will be in Resthaven Memory Gardens, Avon.
