Stella Rakich (nee Toth), 94, of Lorain, passed away Wednesday, April 23, 2014, at Avon Oaks Nursing Home, Avon. She was born December 31, 1919 in Lorain, to Aaron and Stella (nee Trelay) Toth and was a graduate of Lorain High School.
Stella was homemaker and enjoyed baking and cooking, which she was excellent at. She loved her family and will be deeply missed by all of them. She was a member of the Hungarian Reformed Church of Lorain.
She is survived by her son, David (Barbara) Rakich of Avon; daughter, Audrey (Frank) Horvath of Avon; daughter-in-law, Denise Rakich of Amherst; grandchildren, Kimberly (Dan) Lutz, Traci (Tom) Orlando, Eric (Carol) Rakich, Erin (Jim) Michalski, Tony Horvath, Jessica Rakich and Jared Rakich; great-grandchildren, Kristen Butchko, Steven Komar, Vince, Lauren and David Orlando, Maddie and Jake Rakich, Matt, Luke and Jake Michalski, Corey, Reese and Caden Horvath; brothers, Don Toth and Richard Toth.
Stella was preceded in death by her husband, Milan Rakich in 1998; son, Randy Rakich in 2013; her parents, Aaron and Stella Toth; and her sister, Olga Toth.
The Rakich family would like to express their deep appreciation to the staff of Avon Oaks Nursing Home for the excellent care and compassion that was given to Stella while she resided there.
The family will receive friends Friday, April 25, 2014 from 4 to 8 P.M. in the Dovin and Reber Jones Funeral & Cremation Center, 1110 Cooper Foster Park Road, Amherst, where funeral services will be held Saturday, April 26, 2014 at 11 A.M. Rev. Peter Toth, Pastor of Hungarian Reformed Church of Lorain, will officiate. Interment will follow in RidgeHill Memorial Park, Amherst Twp.
